New veterinarian joins DPC Veterinary hospital in Davie
DPC Veterinary Hospital Welcomes Dr. Duke to their Clinic
The veterinarians and staff all are pleased to announce that Dr. Jessica Duke has joined the clinic and in July of 2016 will begin seeing patients at the Davie, FL office located at 6991 Stirling Road.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Duke to our clinic,” said Nancy Abecassis cohospital director at DPC. “She brings enthusiasm, poise and a kind, gentle nature with her to DPC.”
Dr. Jessica Duke is native of Colorado. After finishing her BS in Biological Sciences at Colorado State University she travelled to St. Kitts to obtain her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing her clinical year at Colorado State University Dr. Duke moved to Miami and worked for two years at Banfield Pet Hospital before joining DPC.

NON-SURGICAL DOG NEUTERING NOW AVAILABLE AT DPC VETERINARY HOSPITAL
One of the Only Veterinarian Hospitals Offering This Procedure in South Florida
DAVIE, FLORIDA - DPC Veterinary Hospital, is one of the only veterinarian hospitals that now offers Non-Surgical neutering procedures for dogs in South Florida. The procedure is non-invasive, less expensive, and a better alternative for animals who are not good candidates for general anesthesia.
The non-surgical neutering procedure is preformed while the pets are under a light sedation. A specially trained and certified veterinarian from DPC Veterinary Hospital injects a compound consisting of Zinc Gluconate into the pet's testicles. The testicles will not be removed; they will shrink in size but still be visible. Once the procedure is complete, the dog will go home shortly after with prescribed pain medicine. This procedure makes the animal sterile, and is permanent and irreversible.
This procedure is ideal for pets who are not good candidates for general anesthesia, or for owners don't want to put their pet under general anesthesia. Since the procedure is preformed under a light sedation it is extremely safe. In addition, it is less inexpensive than traditional surgical neutering.
